I hope there will come a day when you don’t let me leave.
And not as as a ‘second round’ deal but you asked me to stay the night
The dream I had was set as such:
You kissed me goodnight and walked me to the car.
And just before you walked inside, you held your hand out
And asked me to stay.
I stayed, I stayed what felt like days.
We barely woke up to greet the morning
because your eyes were the most important sunrise.
I let you fill my cracks with gold so that I could see that my scars could still be beautiful
I welcomed you to pushing me down
Just so you could have
Here’s the presented challenge
To see if I can return the favor of you turning me into the color burgundy
The challenge is, can I turn your snow white into rose red.
By maybe waving a wand, and or clicking my heels
I can make you blush like I do
If you really were a rose though
Does that mean you have thorns?
Am I only to approach and gaze
Or can I try to uproot you and show you off.
I think, at the point the challenge would be: how long can I hold on.
Because I had a dream that after you walked me to the car,
You held onto me, and asked me back inside.
You were smiling.
I know this was a dream but that smile was real.
I’ve see
Anger is the most tiring emotion there is
I’ve never known someone to go to the hospital because of how ‘happy’ they were
Anger is known to cause high blood pressures, headaches
Grinding your teeth because you’re angry is just money in a dentist’s pocket
But, it costs nothing to be happy,
To laugh
To smile
Happiness is free
No one will ever drag you into a court because you were ‘too happy’
Mia drove around the block in her Chevy Malibu another time, taking note that the parking lot for the bar didn’t seem to appear that full. The moon had come out this Monday night. As she came around the corner again she pulled into a parking space on the side of the building nearest to entrance. Far away enough that no one would know one would notice her shoveling French fries from Mcdonalds into her mouth, but close enough that if she changed her mind, she had a short distance to run.
She turned up the radio in the car and turned on the air conditioning. Still having a single French fry in her mouth she checked in her mirror t
