Literature Text
My bird at first lost the will to fly
I only hoped he would try
His wings were not broken
But his heart weighed him down
He didn't try to keep himself up
I feared he would fall and die on the ground
My wise little lion went away
I remembered how I cried that day
The strong wise lion I depended on
Was gone, and yet I miss him so much
I feel like I would break if I felt his touch
I want my bird to keep leaving and fly
I want my lion to be happy as days go by
Because nothing would be more beautiful
To see my bird soar
And hear the wonderful music of my lion roar
I only hoped he would try
His wings were not broken
But his heart weighed him down
He didn't try to keep himself up
I feared he would fall and die on the ground
My wise little lion went away
I remembered how I cried that day
The strong wise lion I depended on
Was gone, and yet I miss him so much
I feel like I would break if I felt his touch
I want my bird to keep leaving and fly
I want my lion to be happy as days go by
Because nothing would be more beautiful
To see my bird soar
And hear the wonderful music of my lion roar

this is beautifully written,
I'm not gonna guess who you're writing about but I'm gonna say this:
the first part reminds me so hard of a friend of mine, and I would love it
if he would start flying again...
thank you for sharing this
